Job Title: Spatial Modeller(s) / Spatial Scientist(s) – specialising in terrestrial carbon mapping
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
Natural Capital Research requires a skilled spatial modeller(s) to specialise in mapping carbon density of vegetation as well as rates of carbon sequestration into vegetation and soils. The successful candidate(s) will be educated to at least Masters degree level in a relevant subject such as forest ecology or plant-soil interactions and will have a good understanding of working with remote sensing data products and/or forest inventory data.

The initial contract will be full time for 12 months initially, with the potential for extension for the right candidate. The post-holder will have a 6 month probation period. Candidates are sought for an immediate start date.
The salary will be up to £35,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) depending on skills and experience.
We are based on London and Oxford however the post-holder will work from home for the foreseeable future until such time as Government guidance on COVID-19 working practices changes.
