Job Title: Spatial Modeller / Spatial Scientist





Natural Capital Research requires a skilled spatial modeller to work with them on the delivery of innovative and high-profile natural capital modelling projects.


We are a small, expanding company working on cutting-edge scientific modelling for natural capital. Led by the global experts in their field, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a brilliant, highly-motivated team.


You will be educated to at least Master’s degree level in a relevant subject with considerable experience of spatial modelling in GIS, R or Python.


The methods and models for these assessments are already established and the task will, therefore, be to follow a provided workflow and process the input data to produce the final data product. You will gain experience working with ecosystem services models and analyzing data for innovative natural capital projects.


Full training on the models will be provided by the Head of Research.

The initial contract will be full-time for 12 months. The post-holder will have a six month probation period.



The salary will be up to £30,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.




The post-holder will work in London or Oxford.


Position within the Team:

Post-holder will be line managed by the Head of Research who will oversee their day to day activities and will assign and review their work.
