Job Title: Spatial Modeller/Spatial Scientist
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
Natural Capital Research requires a skilled spatial modeller to work with them on the delivery of innovative and high-profile natural capital modelling projects.
We are a small, expanding company working on cutting-edge scientific modelling for natural capital. Led by the global experts in their field, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a brilliant, highly-motivated team.
You will be educated to at least Master’s degree level in a relevant subject with considerable experience of spatial modelling in GIS, R and Python.
The methods and models for these layers are already established, and the task will therefore be to follow a provided workflow and process the input data to produce the final data product.
Full training on the models will be provided by the Head of Research.

The initial contract will be part-time for 12 months. The post-holder will have a 6 month probation period.
The salary will be up to £35,000 per annum pro rata for part-time employees.
The post-holder will work in our office in central London.
Position within the Team:
Post-holder will be line managed by the COO who will oversee their day to day activities and will assign and review their work. They will have a dotted line to the company directors.
