Job Title: Senior Spatial Modeller / Spatial Scientist





Natural Capital Research requires a highly skilled spatial modeller to work with them on the delivery of innovative and high-profile natural capital modelling projects.


We are a small, expanding company working on cutting-edge scientific modelling for natural capital. Led by global experts in their field, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a rapidly evolving area of the environmental sector. Many of the methods and models are already established however, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to enhance the models and identifying opportunities for innovation; they will also be expected to work as part of an established team to run and maintain an existing suite of models and to deliver high-quality project analysis.


You will be educated to at least PhD / DPhil level in a relevant subject with substantial experience of spatial modelling in GIS, R and Python.


Full training on the models will be provided by the Head of Research.

The initial contract will be full-time for 12 months. The post-holder will have a 6 month probation period.



The salary will be up to £35,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.


The post-holder will work in London or Oxford.
