About the Role
Natural Capital Research (NCR) requires an experienced science project manager to oversee the delivery
of our cutting-edge products to our clients.
We are seeking an experienced science project manager who will be responsible for managing the delivery of multiple complex projects to our national and international clients. We are looking for someone who has a wealth of experience working across the scientific and commercial sectors to develop, plan and deliver projects on time and on budget. The successful candidate will be accountable for refining the project requirements, effective scheduling of resources and the quality of the final deliverables, including key point report writing. NCR are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can be the primary contact for project stakeholders and proficiently communicate the strategic benefits of NCR’s service offering to clients.

The Opportunity
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the oversight and operational delivery of projects to time and budget, and quality expectations
Responsible for authoring, contributing to or reviewing documents such as client reports, analysis and modelling
Together with the Head of Research, act as the primary source of scientific support for the design, analysis, reporting, and presentation of natural capital analyses
Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of relevant fields including government policy and regulators
Develop and maintain a positive relationship with internal and external clients and employees
Attend client meetings and represent Natural Capital Research as needed
Skills
Educated to at least Masters degree in a science subject with experience of managing large science grants or scientific projects
Strong, demonstrable project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly
communicate complex results of computational analyses and concepts to diverse audiences
Ability to manage multiple, varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritise workload with high attention to detail and quality
Knowledge of spatial analysis and associated tools, technologies and data is desireable
Working knowledge of key natural capital concepts
Ability to demonstrate independent thought and to exercise judgment on the design and implementation of projects and program deliverables
Able to motivate colleagues and build strong, effective and happy project teams
Experience of working directly with clients; in a consultative role or similar would be advantageous

The salary will be up to £47,000 to 55,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
